MULTIFUNCTIONAL CONSTRUCTION TEXTILES FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE PERMANENT MOISTURE MONITORING IN TIMBER AND CONCRETE STRUCTURES
The idea of the invention refers to the use and manufacturing of sensory textile structures which can be lattice-like, strand, band-shaped or appear as spacer structures. These structures are used for reinforcement, insulation or sealing and moisture monitoring of timber and concrete constructions.

The multifunctional construction textiles are made of a functional surface area and integrated into electrically conductive sensory fibres. The sensors are directly included in the material surface during the textile manufacturing process. These sensors are used for a continuous, extensively distributed measurement of dielectric properties of the medium covering the conductor according to TDR measurement methods (Time-Domain-Reflectometry).
