Transparent and passive coating of glass for energy-efficient heat regulation
Ref-No: TA-TM654, 020
Abstract
With this development, it is possible to control easily the heating of interiors by the sun. The special, energy-efficient window glass, coating transmit the warmth from the sun at low temperatures and reflect it at high temperatures.
Background
In contrast to the prior art, where the coating leads to a yellow streak, this innovation do not disturb visible perception, as it is color neutral transparent.

Solution
The special, energy-efficient window glass, coating transmit the warmth from the sun at low temperatures and reflect it at high temperatures. This has the special advantage of this the use of such an "intelligent" window is that in summer interiors are not heated by the sun while in winter the sun rays can contribute to heating of the interior. The switching between transmitting and reflection of warmth is archived without external control, so that there are any further adjustments and costs. The coating has a color neutral high transmittance, so that the view is not obstructed.
Advantages
- Energy-efficient glass coating with temperature-dependent transparency for warmth
- High color neutral transmittance
- Passive coating so no external regulations with extra costs are necessary
Scope of application
glass manufacturers, carglass, window glass
